Our Role: Concepting, Art Direction, Design + Illustration

Following our branding and identity work for the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA, we dove right in on their seasonal collateral. This 50-page book outlines the organization’s mission, it’s 2012-13 artist programming and additional venue/ticket information—all housed in a shell that stylistically put the organization’s placement within the city of Los Angeles first and foremost. Utilizing the Polaroid talents of Los Angeles photographer Mike Slack—combined with a color palette and typography that nods to the artistic and architectural history of the city, the Center’s visual direction recognizes it’s previous 75 years of history, while proudly looking forward to a reinvigorated future.
